A Little About Me
I’m Joe Hirst, freelance graphic designer in Tampa Florida.
I specialize in logo design, and design for print.
I help build brand identities, solve problems through design, and communicate to your target audience with creative and influential design, while staying relevant to your cause.
Creating designs with a purpose, consistency, and building brand identities from the ground up, is what I love to do.

How I Fell In Love With Graphic Design
I started teaching myself graphic design in the last two years of high school. This is when I began concentrating heavily on art, and started taking an interest in digital illustration. With a copy of Photoshop that my school provided, I started playing around with abstract artistic ideas, type, and shapes to gain familiarity with the software. For those last two years of school, playing with Photoshop and doodling in sketchbooks became my daily addiction.
Shortly after graduating, I landed my first job at one of Europe’s largest grocery and retail superstores. I was part of a small team that created Point Of Sale artwork for
in-store advertisements and promotions. While there wasn’t a great deal of creative freedom, I got to learn and work with Photoshop, and a whole host of other Adobe software, while being paid. After realizing that people would pay me to have fun making things, I knew that’s what I wanted to do in order to make a living.
